The successes of the Spanish team have always gone hand in hand with FC Barcelona. The Blaugrana club has been in charge of nurturing the national team for decades with players trained in the lower categories; the last of them: Lamine Yamal.
The forward from Mataró made his debut with the senior team in the qualifying match for the Euro Cup against Georgia. The opportunity that Luis de la Fuente gave him allows him to be the youngest footballer in the history of the Spanish National Team to play in an official match16 years and 57 days old.
Furthermore, the Blaugrana contributed to the win against Georgia, closing the score with the final 1-7. That also placed him as the youngest footballer to score for the Spanish National Team. In both milestones of precocity he surpassed his partner Gavi.
