The truck driver (50) apparently had no chance to brake.
The man was standing at a red traffic light on Storkower Strasse on Wednesday around 5.40 p.m. with his semitrailer. When it turned green, he drove off. Then he caught a boy (3) who, according to witnesses, had run onto the road when the pedestrian traffic light was red.
The boy suffered head injuries and was taken to a hospital by paramedics.
The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear.
