Sports director Sebastian Kehl from Borussia Dortmund is proud of the recent squad nomination of national soccer coach Hansi Flick.
“We are happy to have the largest block of all clubs with our six professionals,” said Kehl in the “SID” interview: “That alone shows that the national coach has confidence in our players and therefore also in our work here at Borussia Dortmund. “
Nico Schlotterbeck, Niklas Süle, Emre Can, Felix Nmecha, Julian Brandt and the most recent addition, Niclas Füllkrug, are in the squad for the international matches against Japan in Wolfsburg on Saturday and against France in Dortmund on the following Tuesday.
“I’m convinced that other BVB professionals will soon be able to play a role again,” emphasized Kehl: “I’ll name Karim Adeyemi as an example. Of course he has to step on the gas, but if Karim fulfills his potential, he too belongs in the national team. “
Marius Wolf and Youssoufa Moukoko are currently on the outside in the senior national team.
