The big Milan clubs are dominating the still young season in Italy’s football championship and are jointly at the top of Serie A.
On Sunday Inter also won the home game against AC Fiorentina 4-0 (1-0), after the third win in the third game only AC Milan can keep up. The city rivals had already won on Friday at the start of the third matchday at AS Roma (2:1).
The good early form arouses anticipation for the direct comparison – which is due right after the international break, on September 16th the Derby della Madonnina.
Marcus Thuram stood out for Inter on Sunday, having only been signed by Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer. The Frenchman scored the lead (23′) and led to the 2-0 lead through Lautaro Martinez (53′). Then Hakan Calhanoglu scored with a penalty kick (58′), Thuram had gotten that too. Martinez set the final point again (73′).
Behind Inter and Milan (9 points each) Juventus Turin (7) is keeping up. The 2-0 (1-0) win at FC Empoli was the second win in three games for the record champions, Danilo (24′) and Federico Chiesa (82′) scored.
