Noplatform eggs, new conductors and a new jury, at least in part. They are the elements from which it starts Italy’s Got Talent 2023, from Friday 1 September on Disney+. A new beginning for the talent show produced by Fremantle, until last year held by Sky, now available exclusively in stream with a new installment every week. The mechanism, however, remains almost unchanged. Each contestant comes on stage and passes the round with 3 yeses. During the program, each juror has the opportunity to use the Golden buzzer, i.e. the button that gives a competitor direct access to the semi-final.
Italy’s Got Talent 2023The Judges
The jury is made up of Mara Maionchi, Frank Matano, Elettra Lamborghini and Khaby Lame. The latter are the two new entries that take the place of Joe Bastianich and Federica Pellegrini. This is the second talent show for Elettra Lamborghini. In 2019, in fact, he wore the role of coach a The Voice of Italy.
For Lame, however, Italy’s Got Talent 2023 marks a real debut. After the planetary success achieved on social networks, he is now ready to conquer the television audience. Compared to when he was just a social face, he says “grown up”. Regarding the role he plays, he declares: «I had never judged anyone and it was a bit difficult. I don’t want to hurt people, but sometimes you have to say no”.
Different story for Maionchi and Matano. Frank has been a judge since 2015 and advises audiences that this year is going to be «very bad. You’ll find that I say a lot of no’, she announces. And on his role as a veteran he specifies: “It was a privilege to do Got Talent accompanied by such a young jury. It is said that there are always the same faces on TV. Here is a clear attempt to bring something new». The partnership between Mara Maionchi and IGT extension it has lasted since 2019. After so many years, the enthusiasm is renewed thanks to the competitors. «Every artist is new, you don’t know what he will do and how you will vote», she points out.

The conductors Aurora Leone and Gianluca Fru of The Jackal
After six editions presented by Lodovica Comello, Italy’s Got Talent 2023 back to pair management. The new hosts are Aurora Leone and Gianluca Fru from The Jackal. «We are very proud to have received this assignment», Aurora says, «I think we are the first under 30 presenters paired with glasses in Italy!», she jokes.
«We are two curious conductors»Fru adds. “We tried to absorb everything we could. Always feeling like the bottom of the class, it was easier to empathize with the competitors on stage», he jokes and thus summarizes his thoughts on the success of Italia’s got talent: «It is the TikTok scroll ante litteram, but on a stage».
If Fru achieved popularity with The Jackal collective, Aurora Leone was born artistically on the stage of Italia’s got talent. She participated in the 2019 edition with a monologue that took her to the final, where she finished fifth.

Khaby Lame, from TikTok to Italy’s Got Talent 2023
During the press conference, the spotlight was on Khaby Lame. Although she serves as a judge, his story could be compared to the talent show contestant archetype. In 2020, he starts posting videos on TikTok and it is an instant success. In a short time he becomes the most followed influencer in the world and today his work commitments take him everywhere.
Even in Los Angeles where he met Tom Cruise. “He is a very humble person. He told me he is dyslexic and that he had a lot of difficulty entering the world of cinema. I am dyslexic and dyscalculic and it reminded me that if you believe in your dreams you can get anywhere». The talent of 23-year-old Khaby Lame is being able to be empathetic even though he doesn’t utter a word. «On social media I have chosen not to speak because silence is the world language.
