He wanted to leave, he went on strike, the move was considered a failure – and now everything is completely different: Paris St. Germain has improved the offer for Randal Kolo Muani and is about to reach an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt. There will be no replacement.

It is the culmination of the wildest transfer posse that Eintracht Frankfurt has ever experienced: Several hours after the end of the German transfer period, Randal Kolo Muani could still switch from Eintracht Frankfurt to Paris St. Germain. The reports from several media, according to which Paris has improved again and is about to reach an agreement with the Hessians, correspond to the information from hr-sport.

After Kolo Muani’s forced farewell to France in the afternoon with a strike Eintracht circles have already described it as a failure, the 24-year-old is probably leaving Hessen after all. The transfer fee is between 95 and 100 million euros. There is no confirmation from the two clubs yet. All the details have not yet been clarified.

Kolo Muani leaves without a substitute

The spectacular last-minute deal is made possible by the fact that the transfer window in France is open until 11 p.m. – five hours longer than in Germany. It was therefore still possible to switch to a French club, but not to the Bundesliga.

That means there will be no adequate replacement for what is by far the best striker in the Frankfurt ranks. Eintracht could only sign one unemployed striker. Since Kolo Muani can no longer imagine returning to Frankfurt according to hr-sport information, the Hessians are ready to take the sporting risk.

Eintracht, who have to get through the first half of the season with a completely renewed offensive and without the top three goalscorers of the past season, probably did everything right economically in the end. However, it was definitely not the plan that the deal was made so late and that there would be no high-quality successor.
