Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is moving to AS Roma, the club of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.
Lukaku landed in Rome on Tuesday aboard a private plane personally piloted by US club owner Dan Friedkin. 5000 fans celebrated Lukaku’s arrival at Rome’s Ciampino airport.
The attacker, who was sorted out at Chelsea, is expected in Rome on Wednesday for the medical checks.
Lukaku was loaned out by Chelsea to Inter Milan last season, for whom he scored 14 competitive goals. However, the Champions League finalist was not interested in signing up again.
The Giallorossi are said to pay 7.5 million euros per season per year as a salary for the 30-year-old. He moves to Rome on a loan deal that gives Chelsea FC six million euros in rental fees plus bonuses.
