VfB Stuttgart has signed Angelo Stiller from league rival TSG Hoffenheim. The Swabians announced on Friday that the 22-year-old midfielder had signed a contract until 2027. He is the tenth commitment this summer and a reaction “to the transfers of the past few days,” emphasized sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth.
Wataru Endo (30; Liverpool) and Konstantinos Mavropanos (25; West Ham) recently left the club for a total of 40 million euros. Stiller is regarded as the successor to captain Endo, who left a large gap on the “six”. According to the “Bild”, the transfer fee for the German U21 international is 5.5 million euros and could increase due to bonuses. For Stiller, it is the second change in his young career after he left his training club FC Bayern for Hoffenheim at the beginning of 2020.

“I’m very happy about my move to VfB Stuttgart. When I first heard that you were interested, it was immediately clear to me that I only wanted to go to VfB. I am enthusiastic about the great fans, the stadium and the long tradition of the club. I want to achieve a lot with VfB and I am sure that we will be successful together in the years to come. I’m proud to wear the jersey with the chest ring from now on,” said Stiller.
“We’re glad that in Angelo Stiller we were able to sign such a talented player for our central midfield,” said Wohlgemuth. Stiller is “already an established Bundesliga player at the age of 22 and still has great potential for development.”
