A historic weather station in Milan recorded the highest temperature on Wednesday since its foundation in 1763, when the average temperature was 33 degrees Celsius, according to the regional environmental agency ARPA. It was also remarkable that this was the first time in 260 years that the temperature did not fall below 28.9 degrees Celsius throughout the day.
