After the false start last week at home against Vitesse (1-2), things went much worse tonight. In Deventer, FC Volendam rightly lost to Go Ahead Eagles 4-1. Daryl van Mieghem scored for Matthias Kohler’s team.
From minute one FC Volendam seemed to start a hopeless misse in the Adelaarshorst. Go Ahead Eagles played with much more enthusiasm and faith and the Volendam team without the suspended Robert Mühren saw it all with sorrow. Bas Kuipers put the Eagles ahead within fifteen minutes. Unfortunately, that did not wake up the eel farmers. On the contrary, because the home team happily continued to attack. Even before the half-time signal, goalkeeper Mio Backhaus conceded two more goals.
Red card
With Lequincio Zeefuik at the forefront, FC Volendam showed nothing at all in the first half. The Volendammers rarely crossed the center line. Yet just before half-time there was suddenly hope again, because Go Ahead Eagles picked up a red card out of the blue. Bobby Adekanye came in rashly for Calvin Twigt and the Eagles attacker received a direct red card for it.
Connection hit
In the second half, FC Volendam took the initiative with one player. After fifteen minutes of play, that led to the tying goal. Daryl van Mieghem neatly shot in a cross from Bilal Old-Chikh, 3-1.

Lousy
In the last half hour there was some pressure from FC Volendam towards the Deventer goal, but it remained with some attempts from Xavier Mbuyamba and substitute Quincy Hoeve. A few minutes before time it all became even more painful. With a nice shot, former Ajax player Enric Llansana put the final score on the scoreboard 4-1. And so is the
