Paul Stanley would like to make music with the Foo Fighters as soon as the opportunity arises. That’s what the singer and guitarist of KISS said at the preview of the new Foo Fighters movie “Studio 666”.
Stanley first shared the unexpected place in which he met Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. “Dave and I, our kids went to the same school, so I’ve known Dave for a while.”
Stanley wants to “make noise” with Grohl
The KISS singer continues, “What he has created is phenomenal. Just the fact that he was first the drummer in such an influential band and then went on to become one of the probably biggest rock stars in the world.” From Nirvana to the Foo Fighters, that was a remarkable step.
When Stanley was then asked if he would like to make music with Grohl, he replied: “We will definitely work together at some point [und] make noise together. This is what makes music the most fun. Not knowing what’s coming next.”
Meanwhile, Grohl is working on a thrash metal album by the fictional band Dream Widow. This plays a central role in “Studio 666”. The musician explained: “[Im Film] I come across a spooky basement. There I find an old tape of a band [Dream Widow], which was recorded there 25 years ago. And on it is a song that upon completion will release the demon of the house. And well, then all hell breaks loose.”
Grohl adds: “It will be Dream Widow’s lost album. […] I work fast, but damn, I set myself a tough deadline. But yes, it will be released in time for the film. There will be a Dream Widow album by February 25th.”
