Thijs Römer, who is suspected of online sexual abuse, always wanted to talk about sex. That says a now 23-year-old woman from Rijsbergen. He also once sent her a ‘jerk off movie’ and got turned on by her. This emerged on Tuesday during the lawsuit in Assen against the actor, RTV Drenthe reports. According to the Public Prosecution Service (OM), the woman from Brabant is one of the three victims who have filed a report.
The woman, who was sixteen when she first came into contact with Römer, did not want to press charges at first. She backtracked after the actor denied the allegations on Twitter. She’s not in court, the other two victims are. She has a statement read by a lawyer.

Her account shows, among other things, that the 44-year-old Römer had a more personal relationship with the woman from Brabant than with the two other women. Römer talked to her about Katja Schuurman’s divorce, among other things, and he didn’t shy away from giving her tips on how to satisfy themselves. Yet she never felt compelled to maintain contacts with Römer.
Like the two other victims, from Drenthe and Friesland, she was an idol of Römer and was part of a Moordvrouwen fan group. This was a TV series in which the actor had a role. In the period that the series was so popular, Römer was involved with various girls. The Brabant woman was then about sixteen years old. She was madly in love and did not know that her idol had contact with more girls.
She was also an extra in the series. The day before she was to start this, Römer gave her a dick pic, a photo of his erect penis. She didn’t like that. Later she was given step-by-step instructions on how to finger herself. Around the age of seventeen she wanted to stop contact. She further stated that whenever she wanted to talk to him he turned the conversation towards sex.
Shame
In response to her experiences, Römer says that the whole story is not correct. “We talked about sex in an app group, but not that it had to happen.” He also said he is now ashamed of how he treated his fans between November 2015 and December 2017.
The Public Prosecution Service is expected to issue a sentence later this afternoon. Römer could receive a maximum prison sentence of several years. He may also have to pay compensation to his victims. According to RTV Drenthe, the Rijsbergense demand 5600 euros. This is based, among other things, on the amount she has spent on the therapy that is necessary to process the consequences of the abuse.
