LVMH becomes a partner of the Summer Olympics in Paris

French luxury goods retailer Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH) will support the upcoming Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in Paris in 2024 as a Premium Partner. On Monday, the group, which had already supported the French capital in its bid to host the games, presented details of the agreement that had now been concluded with the Paris 2024 organizing committee.

Accordingly, numerous LVMH brands are taking on prominent roles in the upcoming competitions. The medals are designed by the traditional French jeweler Chaumet, which has belonged to the group since 1999. The wine and spirits brands of the corporate groups supply the hospitality events, and the retail chain Sephora is involved as a partner in organizing the traditional torch relay. In addition, numerous fashion houses of the group will present themselves during the games and support selected athletes.

As part of the agreement, LVMH will also increase its commitment to promoting mass sport. Together with the organization Secours populaire français, the group wants to set up a “very concrete program” that will give 1,000 children, adolescents and young adults from difficult social backgrounds access to sport. As part of this partnership, LVMH will finance club fees, training programs and introductory courses for the participants, the company said.
