Chiro Heist urgently looking for leaders ‘otherwise it will stop’

If they do not find fresh youth movement blood, the work year will not be able to start and the Chiro story of Heist will end after almost twenty years.

For several months now, the Chiro van Heist has been distributing flyers and posters and is also trying to warm young people or even slightly older people to leadership via social media. Julie Deleersnyder, Chiro Heist leader: “The new working year will start in mid-September for the 80 or so members, but if we don’t find new blood, it will be improvisation or worse. I’d shed a tear if it stopped.”

De Chiro is the only youth movement in the Heist borough, which is a pity, so it was forced to stop.
