Twitter completely new

According to the CEO, changes have already been seen, but they are only the first steps.

X brings new features to the social media service. PDO

The social media service Twitter is entering a new era.

The service will be called “X”. Web address www.x.com redirect to Twitter already.

CEO of Twitter Linda Yaccarino according to X is more comprehensive than its predecessor. It is not only a discussion platform, but also includes, for example, payment and banking features.

– X is the future of unlimited interactivity, (which) focuses on voice, video, messages, payments/banking services, Yaccarino writes.

Artificial intelligence obviously plays a big role in the new service. According to Yaccarino, the new service connects people even more closely – “in ways we are just beginning to imagine”. X “changes the global market”.

The logo of the service will also change. Musk shared a hint of the new logo on his account the video.

Restrictions

According to Yaccarino, X has “started to take shape” over the past eight months.

Changes have been seen in the service since Musk took the reins. For example, Twitter offers paid verification tokens that anyone can buy for themselves. In the past, certification marks were issued to, for example, authorities and public figures.

Musk’s Twitter limits the number of tweets a user can view per day. With a free account, you can view a total of 600 tweets per day. For verified, i.e. paid accounts, the limit is 6,000 tweets per day.

So Musk has already brought money transfer to a more significant part of the service.

The company’s value collapsed

There can be many opinions about the success of the changes made so far. Users have been vocal in criticizing the changes.

In April, Musk admitted that the value of the company was only half of the purchase price. Musk, who bought Twitter in October last year, paid more than 40 billion euros for the service.

According to Yaccarino, “for years fans and critics have pushed Twitter to dream bigger”.

– We have only just begun, Yaccarino writes.
