RAMS Başakşehir, one of the Trendyol Super League teams, defeated Al Markhiya from the Qatar Stars League teams 3-1 in the friendly match in Burdur.
The orange-dark blue team, which made its preparations for the new season at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Camp Center, faced Al Markhiya on the last day of the camp.
In the match held at Istiklal Stadium, the goals of RAMS Başakşehir were scored by Danijel Aleksic, Serdar Gürler and Krzysztof Piatek. Naoufal Bannis scored Al Markhiya’s goal.
Emre Belözoğlu: “Our goal is clearly to play in European cups”
After the match, RAMS Başakşehir Technical Director Emre Belözoğlu told reporters that he was pleased to camp at the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University camp center, reminding that they also prepared in Burdur last year.
Belözoğlu stated that the facility is sufficient and that the university rector and faculty members provide them with good opportunities.
“We had a good camp period. You know, there are temperatures of 40-45 degrees in our country. We had good training here, especially in the evening and in the morning, in 20-25 degrees weather. We are trying to prepare our team for the league in the best conditions. This year, our goal is clearly to play in the European cups, to fight for the cups, to challenge 4 big teams again. I think we are strong enough to do this.
