A strong earthquake struck the northernmost American state of Alaska on Sunday morning. According to the US Geological Institute USGS, the shock had a magnitude of 7.4. Subsequently, authorities issued a tsunami warning for several coastal areas in Alaska, but that has since been cancelled.
