Second division soccer club Schalke 04 made an exclamation mark at the end of the training camp. The Bundesliga relegated team won 5-0 (2-0) in Mittersill, Austria, against the Polish first division club Gornik Zabrze led by Rio World Champion Lukas Podolski.
Kenan Karaman (13′), Blendi Idrizi (32′), new signing Bryan Laasme (67′), U17 European Champion Assan Ouedraogo (79′) and Soichiro Kozuki (89′) scored the goals for S04. Podolski was in the starting lineup for the Poles.
