Cristiano Ronaldo invests with his company CR7 SA in Chrono24, an online marketplace for luxury watches from Karlsruhe.
The football star follows investors such as Aglaé Ventures – the family investment company of LVMH CEO Bernard Arnault – General Atlantic, Insight Partners and Sprints Capital, Chrono24 announced on Wednesday. They already invested 100 million euros in the marketplace in a round of financing in 2021. How much Ronaldo – who, according to a report by the business magazine Forbes is said to have generated an estimated 136 million US dollars last year alone – has invested in Chrono24 has not been disclosed.
“As a long-time watch collector and regular user of Chrono24, it is my pleasure to become a shareholder of the company,” said Ronaldo. “The global connectivity enabled by the platform is something that I value immensely and I am delighted to be a part of it from now on,” said Cristiano Ronaldo.
