Germany U21 captain Yann Aurel Bisseck has arrived at Inter Milan for a medical check and is on the verge of a move from Aarhus GF to the Champions League finalists. The professional landed at the airport in the Italian city on Monday evening.
Update July 12, 8:45 p.m.:Bisseck’s transfer has been official since Wednesday evening. The defender has signed a contract with Inter until 2028.
Inter pull Bisseck’s €7m release clause. The sum will be paid in two installments, it was said recently.
Born in Cologne, he has been playing for the Danish first division club Aarhus GF since the summer of 2021. Bisseck was trained in the youth team of 1. FC Köln and made his Bundesliga debut in November 2017. He was later loaned out to Holstein Kiel, to the Netherlands by Roda JC Kerkrade, to the Portuguese club Vitória Guimarães SC and to Aarhus. The Danes then signed the defender under contract last summer. Bisseck was one of the best players in the Danish league last season.
Most recently, he was captain of the German U21 selection at the European Championships, which were eliminated in the preliminary round and thus also missed out on the qualification ticket for the Olympic Games in Paris next year. In Milan, the 1.96 meter right foot should be seen as an anticipation of the future and not as a direct replacement for Milan Skriniar (28), who moved to Paris.
