After more than 60 hours of searching with hundreds of people, the two-and-a-half-year-old boy Émile has still not been found in the village of Le Vernet between Grenoble and Nice. But now the investigation has taken a different turn. The French daily newspaper ‘La Provence’ reports that the investigators are investigating whether the French toddler was hit by a car or tractor. Villagers and potential witnesses have been questioned since Monday evening to find new clues. On Monday, a recorded message from his mother was broadcast to reassure the child. But all in vain. Today there will no longer be a search with hundreds of volunteers as in recent days, but the hamlet will be completely cordoned off and more “targeted” searches will follow with specialized resources.
