Benjamin Pavard submitted his change request to FC Bayern weeks ago. But not much has happened since then. Officially, the Frenchman is still an employee of the record champions. But now there is finally a solution.
After the “kicker” only reported at the weekend that there were still no concrete interested parties for Benjamin Pavard and that the search for a new employer for the Frenchman was “slow”, the “tz” is now writing about the first movements in transfer poker.
There it says that two clubs have already expressed a concrete interest in a Pavard commitment. However, it is not known which clubs are involved. The Munich newspaper called the already known price range as the transfer fee. According to this, the Bayern bosses want between 30 and 35 million for the 27-year-old – roughly the amount that Munich paid for the French to VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2019.
Pavard dissatisfied at Bayern
It has been known for weeks that Pavard wants to leave Bayern Munich a year before his contract expires. The defender was increasingly dissatisfied with his role in the Munich team. He prefers to see himself in central defence, but the record champions are well positioned there even after Lucas Hernández left. Pavard’s aim now is to find a top club that has a vacancy in the center of defence.
Possible contact points have already been discussed in recent weeks. In this context, the English record champions Manchester United and Champions League finalists Inter Milan were said to be interested. Paris Saint-Germain was also in the draw for a long time, but after the Hernández deal there is no longer any room for Pavard with the French series champion.
