The Dutch defender will remain with the Nerazzurri for two more seasons: Bastoni and Calhanoglu had also been extended in recent days
Seven days without a contract, but it was only a bureaucratic issue: Stefan De Vrij remains at Inter and does so by signing a contract renewal for another two seasons, therefore valid until 30 June 2025. The Dutchman had actually found the agreement with the club already in the spring, but – as for Alessandro Bastoni and Hakan Calhanoglu -, the official announcement only came after the transfer market session had begun. The subtle difference is that the defender’s contract expired on June 30th and therefore, in fact, the player was without a team for a week.
De Vrij arrived in Milan on a free transfer from Lazio in the summer of 2018 and played 203 games for the Nerazzurri, winning 5 trophies. “Hello Nerazzurri fans – said De Vrij -, I’m happy to continue defending these colours. See you at San Siro, come on Inter!”
