Support doesn’t mean we’re overflowing with enthusiasm

The criticism of the corona policy often drowned out the approval, but most Dutch people do not think the cabinet’s choices are that crazy. Yet confidence in the government was badly damaged. Lockdowns, curfews, school closures and QR codes were under continuous attack. Demonstrations turned into riots and violence. Nevertheless, a large majority of the Dutch are quite content with the approach, according to the survey conducted by the Kantar Public agency for De Telegraaf among more than a thousand people.
