The Portuguese footballer leaves Celtic Glasgow to undertake the Saudi adventure
Al Ittihad has disbursed around 13 million euros
Saudi Arabia continues to recruit talent. Many of the operations are characterized by being the signings of veteran footballers (Cristiano, Benzema, Kanté…), but there are also exceptions. Joao Pedro Pedro Felipe Neves, known sportingly as Jotahas wrapped the blanket over his head and will end up in Al Ittihad of the all-powerful (economically) Saudi league.
The 24-year-old Portuguese footballer leaves cold and rainy Glasgow, where he defended Celtic’s Catholic colours, to settle in the hot Arabian desert. Al Ittihad has disbursed an amount of 13 million euros for acquiring the services of the Portuguese, although the total of the operation increases to approximately 27, taking into account the player’s salary.
Jota, a winger who can develop on both flanks of the attack, will share a dressing room with Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kantétwo of the stars that Al Ittihad has managed to sign in this transfer market.
