Electric tricycles should reduce the number of traffic accidents

Electric bicycles can no longer be ignored in the street scene. But with the advent of this type of bicycle, the number of accidents has also increased. To counter this, the electric tricycle was invented: the Tworby. Laarders were able to test it today on a tricycle day with the help of Timo.

According to Timo van den Berg, converting a normal two-wheel bicycle into a tricycle is the solution for safe electric cycling: “We devised this conversion module to keep people mobile for longer. Both the bicycle and the person themselves.”

To introduce people to this bicycle, he came up with the tricycle day in Laren.

Fewer accidents

Timo is convinced that there are fewer traffic accidents due to his invention: “The uncertainty is removed a bit and that ensures that people can remain calm in traffic, but can better respond to situations.”

It is busy at the tricycle stand in Laren and the bicycles are being tested in full. “We’re getting a bit more wobbly, so a bike like that seems like something to me,” says an elderly passer-by who has just ridden a round on the bike.
