The resurrection of Eva Jinek has surprised people in recent weeks, but RTL 4 will have to do it again with Renze Klamer from Monday. Are the channel’s viewing figures collapsing?
It is unbelievable how much trouble Eva Jinek appears to have from Today Inside. Her ratings have increased spectacularly since the men of VI went on vacation; especially in the last few days she scores very good marks. For example, she was even the second most watched TV program last night with her last broadcast of the year.
Eve on two
Eva attracted 757 thousand viewers (26 percent market share), which is a considerable achievement, according to viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp. “Wonderful end to the Jinek season: Eva is number two (!) in the top 25 viewing figure. Eva has never been so high in the top 25. Eva will be so happy and relieved, this season could not have ended better”, she writes.
The viewing figure expert points out that this suits Eva very well: she gives birth in September and then her contract negotiations with RTL 4 start. She expects that she will demand a VI clause, so that she no longer has to face Today Inside. “A start at 10.30 pm will be discussed.”
Or to 1?
However, connoisseurs do not rule out that Eva will move to NPO 1. There she can do both the early talk show at 7 p.m. and a late talk show at 10:30 p.m., now that Op1 will cease to exist after this year.
Angela de Jong argues in AD for Eva to move: “It is time for the NPO to change course and invest in at least one real talk show in which the talk of the day is simply conducted. With a really good presenter who understands his profession. Or rather: her profession. Eva Jinek’s contract with RTL expires. Grab that chance.”
Renze is ready
Back to now: Eva celebrates the first day of her maternity leave today and Renze Klamer is ready to take over on Monday. Full throttle in the coming weeks! Four weeks Monday to Friday evening, but also two Sunday evenings. Lots of fun!” he writes Instagram.
But does the viewer also feel like it? That’s just the question. Renze is not a crowd favorite and Hélène Hendriks will start her talk show De Oranjezomer in just over a week. She is a crowd favourite. In any case, Renze failed to score yesterday with his entertainment show Het Unknown: 495 thousand people (16 percent) watched it.
