Stina Nilsson and Emil Nykvist are considered the dream couple in Swedish biathlon. In her opinion, the fact that the two winter sports enthusiasts share the same passion is an advantage.
“Of course it’s good that we can do the same and push each other,” said Nilsson in an interview with “Expressen”.
The two biathlon stars officially confirmed their relationship to the Swedish newspaper Nya Wermlands-Tidningen in early May. The couple deliberately does not hang their love on the big bell. “It’s still the same answer. I don’t feel the need for the evening papers to write about it,” revealed Nilsson.
The 29-year-old is currently preparing for the upcoming biathlon season. Last winter, Nilsson was not able to call up her best performances. The ski hunter just finished 73rd in the overall World Cup.

In the coming biathlon season, everything should get better. “Training is going very well so far,” said Nilsson in a recent interview with “Fondo Italia”. According to the Scandinavian, she wants to increase her speed at the shooting range. There she has “a lot of room for improvement,” says Nilsson.
In addition, the focus of the preparation is on the running training. “Something big was missing in my running form last year. It only got better and better after the Christmas break. This year I want to fix the problem beforehand so that I can start with a better feeling,” analyzed Nilsson.
The Swede continued: “I’m not happy with the pre-season and I just want it to get better again. We’re trying to figure out how we can do that. But so far it’s going very well and I hope it stays that way when winter comes .”
