The first single “emma” will be released on June 15 at 6 p.m. – and in 2024 Casper will play a show for the new album in Bielefeld.
Casper has announced his new record ONLY LOVE, ALWAYS for November 24, 2023 via Instagram. The 40-year-old also registered the first single called “emma” – it will be released on Thursday, June 15 at 6 p.m. There will also be a music video for it.

In the track “emma” Benjamin Griffey, Casper’s real name, is about showing “that it’s totally okay not to know what to do and to be over it”. Griffey has already shared a snippet of the new play and a video snippet on Instagram.

Furthermore, in the accompanying press release on the process of creating the new work, he states: “My music and my approach to it have always been very research- and concept-based. I wanted to get away from that completely and just see what’s happening in the songwriting at the moment. It felt very naked at first, being so quiet and small – but I’m discovering my more melodic side more and more”.
Plus: He generally gave his “more melodic side” a lot of space on NUR LIEBE, IMMER. “I think the songs on the upcoming album are an attempt at a new approach and not thinking up the song and the result before it is made, but just letting the energy guide you in the studio,” he explains. “Without an over-the-top overall concept, genre-busting approach or any other goal, just start walking and see where you get to,” continues Casper.
ONLY LOVE ALWAYS will be released on November 24th on vinyl, CD and tape. The record is available to pre-order with merch bundles or with tickets to a Casper show starting Friday, June 16 at 6 p.m.

Casper has even more announcements for his fans: On June 15, 2024 he will play an exclusive concert in his hometown of Bielefeld. According to his Instagram post, it will be “the only concert in the coming year for the new album”. Advance sales for the “in love with the city that doesn’t exist” open air also start on Friday, June 16, at 6 p.m. The location where the show will take place is not yet known.
In the comments under Casper’s new social posts, however, the rumor mill is bubbling. His fans are worried it could be his last album. “So much anticipation and yet so scared it could be the end,” wrote one user. Another user commented: “Please say that it is NOT a farewell album.” “New and hopefully NOT the last album??” Another hopes.
