In Nepal, the road leading to the landfill is so impassable that trucks loaded with rubbish are pushed over by a bulldozer. In Switzerland, the garbage ends up dangling under the cable car as in a skit by Ridolini.
The Austrian director who chooses to close his journey into the universe and into the aesthetics of waste with images of the “Burning Man” rally in the Nevada desert (then sieved to leave no trace) he tells us of the absurdity of our choices and the resulting condemnation without appeal. He is the man who risks becoming matter out of place. To be seen.
