Directional trading is based on the assumption that current market trends will continue. Traders open positions to take advantage of these trends. In market-neutral pair trading, on the other hand, two closely related securities are traded against each other. You buy an undervalued security and sell an overvalued security to take advantage of price normalization. The goal of this strategy is to profit from the relative price changes of the two securities, regardless of the general market direction.

Simon Betschinger was born in Tübingen in 1980 and holds a degree in economics from the University of Konstanz. He is an entrepreneur, economist and trader. In 2007 he founded TraderFox GmbH together with Martin König. TraderFox is one of the leading companies in the field of automatic chart pattern recognition, real-time signal generation and the visualization of chart information.
Martin King is co-founder and CTO of TraderFox GmbH. He studied industrial engineering at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg.
