Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak said that it is proud to have Hakan Çalhanoğlu and İlkay Gündoğan in the Champions League Final.
Minister of Youth and Sports Bak drew attention to the importance of Istanbul’s hosting of the Champions League final at the Champions Festival in Yenikapı, organized as part of the UEFA Champions League Final.
Recalling the final match played between Milan and Liverpool at Atatürk Olympic Stadium in 2005, Minister Bak continued his words as follows:
“We had this excitement in 2005, and I was at the game. Milan finished the first half 3-0 ahead, but we saw that the game did not end in the second half. Liverpool won the cup with penalties in the match that ended 3-3. It was a magnificent final, it is still talked about. Again, with Istanbul infrastructure and facility, we saw that the match was not over. He has the capacity to host the championship. We have always proven that. This final will be very good. Two strong teams, Manchester City and Inter will face each other. I have followed all the matches. I have been following the European finals since I was young. Very high quality and classy players I hope we will watch a good final tomorrow night.”

Emphasizing that Turkey has an important infrastructure for organizations, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak said:
“Under the leadership of our President, Turkey is one of the countries with the most important sports infrastructure in Europe. More than 35 stadiums have been completed, new ones are under construction. We have the capacity to host important finals. We have the capacity to host many international events, not just football. Our country makes a difference with its sports infrastructure, enthusiasm, enthusiasm, young population and love for football. I would like to thank the Presidents of the Turkish Football Federation, our previous Minister of Youth and Sports, and our President, who have made an effort to bring this final to our country.
