16th century oven found in Kortrijk

The kiln may belong to a potter. Previously, ovens have been found from a larger traditional medieval district. But the find now at the Dolfijnkaai is a lot further north. The archaeologists also uncovered the old banks of the Lys and remnants of old walls and floors. The actual works for lowering the banks of the Leie will start after the summer and should be completed by next summer.
