‘Matthijs van Nieuwkerk, don’t come back on TV!’

Matthijs van Nieuwkerk receives an urgent instruction from Jan Uriot to stop his attempts at a TV comeback. According to the star journalist of Privé, it is pointless. “Go write books!”

Thanks to Angela de Jong’s spies, it has been leaked that Matthijs van Nieuwkerk is conducting repair talks behind the scenes with the victims of his tyrannical behavior at De Wereld Draait Door. One of them, a make-up artist with a cheeky hair dryer, confirmed this to RTL Boulevard.

‘Do not do it’

It indicates that Matthijs is making a clean sweep and is apparently out for a TV comeback. Jan Uriot, after Evert Santegoeds the most important man of Privé, urgently advises the presenter to abandon that ambition.

According to Jan, it is not convenient. “I don’t think so. I think he should just start writing books about Paris and about France and about the French stars, but not come back on the screen. He has done the highest possible on Dutch television. What else do you need to do then? No, I wouldn’t if I were him.”

On your own

Jan puts in his section What does Jan think doubts about those repair conversations anyway. “I’ve never heard of that word. Maybe it will make it to the Van Dale. But how is it possible? Because the NPO is conducting an investigation and I do not think it would be desirable for him to talk to alleged victims on his own.”

Apparently someone advised him to do so, says Jan. “The amazing thing is that he didn’t do it in the beginning, when that Volkskrant article came out. You would think that he would immediately start talking to those people. The fact that he did not do that smells a bit like that he has now been advised to do so.”
