Arminia Bielefeld has to go into relegation after losing at 1. FC Magdeburg

Condé double pack

Second division Arminia Bielefeld has to be relegated to relegation. East Westphalia lost 4-0 at 1. FC Magdeburg on the last day of the game and were unable to leave 16th place in the table. Competitor Eintracht Braunschweig lost at FC Hansa Rostock and still secured the class. In the relegation, SV Wehen Wiesbaden is now waiting for Uwe Koschinat’s team on June 2nd and 6th.

In the stadium, which was sold out with 26,320 spectators, goals from Amara Condé (38th minute) and Baris Atik (45th, penalty kick) were celebrated before the break. Captain Condé decided the game with his second goal in the 50th minute. Jason Ceka (66th) even increased. Bielefeld should have won and hoped for the competition from Braunschweig and Nuremberg to slip up. But they didn’t do the East Westphalia this favor. But they didn’t do their homework themselves.

The Franconians won 1-0 (1-0) at home strong SC Paderborn on Sunday and thus managed to save the game on their own. With his first goal of the season in the 20th minute, Lukas Schleimer was the acclaimed “Club” rescuer on the last day of the game. Sports director Dieter Hecking ended his temporary return to the coaching bench with a happy ending.

Hannover 96 ended the second division season with a home debacle. Lower Saxony lost 5-1 (0-3) against Holstein Kiel in their own stadium on Sunday and showed a shockingly poor performance. On the other hand, veteran Fin Bartels trumped again in his last game as a professional with the Kielers. The 36-year-old scored twice after the break (59th and 62nd minute) and thus celebrated a perfect end to his career. In the first half, Fabian Reese (21st), Timo Becker (23rd) and Benedikt Pichler (45th) scored for Kiel. Phil Neumann (72nd) scored for the hosts.
