Came on loan in winter
Philipp Max will play for Eintracht Frankfurt beyond the summer. As the SBU confirmed on Friday, the club took the option to buy the 29-year-old left-back. Max, who was loaned out from PSV Eindhoven in the winter, is now contractually bound to Hessen until 2026. The former Augsburg player has made 13 appearances for Frankfurt, most recently with a hamstring injury.
It was already reported in March that a firm commitment was fixed. According to reports, a number of six missions was enough. Max is said to cost the SGE just under 2 million euros. His working paper with the Dutch originally ran until 2024. The left-footed player celebrated his return to the Bundesliga after two and a half years in January, when he left FC Augsburg for Eindhoven for a fee of 7.7 million euros.
