Shirin David thinks German rap has been “changed forever” through “Give him”

The fact that Shirin David is not taken seriously in the rap scene has been a thing of the past since the release of her second solo album BITCHES NEEDS RAP. The rapper now conveyed this impression on Instagram and wrote on the occasion of the anniversary of her debut single “Give him”: “Exactly three years ago, give him and German rap was changed forever”.

The single, released on February 15, 2019, was not only an important mark for Hamburg, but also for the German rap scene. The track became a viral hit and reached number 1 in the German charts in 2019. “Give Him” ​​can be found on David’s debut album SUPERSIZE.

Further chart successes followed with their second studio album BITCHES NEEDS RAP. The single “Lieben wir” is the fourth number 1 single for Shirin David after “Give him” (2019), “90-60-111” (2020) and “I can do that” (2021). She was also the first rapper in Germany to stay in the charts with four singles at the same time.
