Keith Richards is performing a reunion concert with the X-Pensive Winos at this year’s Love Rocks

Keith Richards will perform at this year’s Love Rocks alongside his solo backing band X-Pensive Winos. The charity concert will take place on March 10, 2022 in New York City.

Love Rocks is hosted annually by the Steven and Alexandra Cohan Foundation. Proceeds benefit the charity God’s Love We Deliver. It has set itself the task of “cooking nutritious and medically tailored meals and delivering them to people who, for health reasons, cannot shop and cook themselves.”

In addition to Keith Richards and the X-Pensive Winos, other bands will also perform at the concert. Among others Mavis Staples, Melissa Etheridge, Kiefer Sutherland or Hozier. The entire line-up was revealed in the following video.

The line-up of “Love Rocks”:

Keith Richards first played with the X-Pensive Winos in 1988. It was then that the musicians were recording the guitarist’s solo debut, Talk Is Cheap. This was followed by Main Offender (1992) and Crosseyed Heart (2015). Band members include drummer Steve Jordan, guitarist Waddy Wachtel, bassist Charley Drayton, pianist Ivan Neville and singer Sarah Dash. The appearance on “Love Rocks” will be the first joint concert of all band members since the early 1990s.

Meanwhile, to celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary, “Main Offender” will be re-released as a special deluxe box set on March 18, 2022. It also includes the previously unreleased concert “Winos Live in London ’92” – a live performance recorded at London’s Town & Country Club in 1992.
