Borussia Dortmund is threatened with the departure of Raphael Guerreiro. The left-back could leave BVB after seven years. However, a final decision has not yet been made.
Does he stay or does he go? Raphael Guerreiro hesitates with his future decision. Borussia Dortmund is therefore doomed to wait.
The fact is: Guerreiro can leave BVB free of charge in the summer. According to “kicker” information, there are still “no signals” from the 29-year-old. The hanging game continues for the time being.
According to media reports, Guerreiro has received a contract offer from BVB. According to “Bild”, Dortmund’s sports director Sebastian Kehl made the full-back a performance-related offer of around 5.5 million euros a year. “Sport1” also reported on the model.
The “tendency is more in the direction of farewell”, speculated “Sport1” reporter Patrick Berger recently regarding Guerreiro and underpins his statement with information that he claims to have received from “direct team circles”. “Most of the Dortmund players” therefore expect that Guerreiro will not accept the offer made to him.
BVB has Gladbach star in its sights
Meanwhile, a well-known interest in the Portuguese national player is already circulating: According to “fussballtransfers.com”, Inter Milan is courting the BVB all-rounder. However, there should be competition from all over Europe. The “AS” linked Guerreiro to Atlético Madrid, for example.
The left-back switched from the French first division club FC Lorient to BVB in 2016 for around twelve million euros. Since then, Guerreiro has been a part of the black and yellow team.
Dortmund are preparing for a possible departure of the regular. Ramy Bensebaini from Borussia Mönchengladbach has been a hot transfer candidate for months. The 28-year-old is available for free in the summer.
