31 games are missing on Leno
Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has not missed a league game with Arsenal in over a year and is now one of the top seven gunners in the Premier League (since 1992). The 25-year-old has now extended his contract with the Londoners on a long-term basis. In an emotional video, he admitted that his start was not easy and that he was not Arsenal fans’ dream keeper. In the meantime, however, he could not imagine any other club. With his signing ahead of the 2021/22 season, he became one of 14 goalkeepers to date who have been paid for a fee of €25m or more.

“We must also not forget that Aaron is still very young, so there is still a lot more to come from him,” said sporting director Edu. Coach Mikel Arteta added: “The way Aaron has developed over the past two years has been exceptional, both in terms of his performance and his commitment and integration into the club.” To face predecessors like Bernd Leno or To join Jens Lehmann in the 100 club after Premier League appearances, Ramsdale are 30 games short of catching Leno with 31.
