Dárdai criticizes Hertha’s transfer policy – “Management and women” decide on his future

Club “cannot afford”

Pál Dárdai has sharply criticized Hertha BSC’s transfer policy in recent years. He did not want to publicly speculate about his own future as a coach with the “Old Lady” in the final sprint of the Bundesliga. “I think the leadership and my wife have to decide that,” said Dárdai during the Berlin training session on Monday.

The 47-year-old stepped in as head coach for the third time in mid-April to prevent relegation to the second division. Two days before the end of the season, the chances of a sporting rescue are only minimal – he scored an average of 0.75 points from four games. During his comeback, Dárdai noted that he actually wanted to return as head of the youth academy in the coming season.

Dárdai is massively dissatisfied with the personnel policy after his first coaching period until 2019. “Hertha BSC can’t afford that, they need players who want to develop further,” emphasized the Berlin record player in the Bundesliga. Hertha BSC with major personal worries in central defense

The Berliners also started the current training week with personnel worries. With Marc Oliver Kempf (bruised ribs), Filip Uremovic (concussion), Agustín Rogel (personal reasons) and Márton Dárdai (muscular problems), four and therefore all the regular central defenders were absent from the first training session. At least Rogel and Dárdai should return in a timely manner, as should offensive man Stevan Jovetic, who, like striker Wilfried Kanga (both muscular problems), was also unable to train on Monday.

The defense is already a weak point. Only VfL Bochum conceded more goals in the Bundesliga with 71 than Hertha BSC (67).
