Not least because of his 1-0 lead against FC Schalke 04, the 32nd matchday was a successful event for Thomas Müller. The veteran of FC Bayern was rotated back into the starting XI by head coach Thomas Tuchel, and the veteran thanked him with a strong performance.
For more than 90 minutes, the 33-year-old played a part in the 6-0 thrashing of Schalke, who were threatened with relegation, and even led his Munich team onto the field as captain.

“I made it 1-0 today. I think I’ll get a minute or two of playing time and then I’ll be there,” Müller promised in an interview with “Bild” soccer boss Christian Falk.
The club icon wants to celebrate his twelfth championship with FC Bayern in two weeks. Müller’s eleven Bundesliga titles are already the sole all-time record.

Müller admitted that he had had a conversation with the chairman of the board, Oliver Kahn, about the general situation of the club and his personal situation. “It’s actually not as dramatic as it might have been made out to be,” said the attacking man, who scored his seventh goal of the season against Schalke 04 for the league leaders.
The Munich crowd’s favorite once again asserted that he is not currently considering a change of club after the current season: “Thinking about leaving, that has no place here. We are in the championship fight, my heart is redder than red.”
