Lana Del Rey has released a music video for her song “Candy Necklace”. The clip is over ten minutes long – even though the track on their current record DID YOU KNOW THAT THERE’S A TUNNEL UNDER OCEAN BLVD only has a running time of five minutes.
Lana Del Rey slips into the roles of various Hollywood stars in the video, including Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Short. The production’s aesthetic matches the retro-pop sound of “Candy Necklace” and features the 37-year-old singer in her signature dreamy style.
The New Yorker made her international breakthrough in 2011 with her track “Video Games”. In 2012 she released her second studio album BORN TO DIE which was one of the best selling albums of the year.
