Salumeria Rosa – Creative Italian cuisine

A colleague with taste and style recommended the little salumeria around the corner from her apartment to us. Now we were finally there and are completely thrilled.

When Macedonians or other southern countries operate as Italian hosts in Berlin, we are no longer surprised. In the Salumeria it is now a Patron with Asian roots. Perhaps this is also the reason for the creatively modified Italian cuisine in his restaurant

The vitello tonnato (12 euros, actually boiled veal with tuna sauce and capers) is served here with fresh, lightly seared pieces of tuna.

Equally special is the pulpo salad (7 euros) with a coriander twist and the burrata on candied aubergine (12 euros). We didn’t try the baked country egg with spinach, truffle and champagne foam (7 euros), but we’ll definitely try it next time.

All starters are served like tapas, called cicchetti here, to share. My husband doesn’t want to give anything away for the main course. His bouillabaisse risotto (26 euros) is incredibly creamy, tastes deliciously of seafood and is topped with large crayfish. Thanks to the colleague for this great recommendation.
