THE troubles for Emma Conti do not end. In the fourth installment of Light of your eyes 2airing tonight at approximately 9.45pm on Channel 5, the Étoile experiences mixed emotions. On the one hand, she builds a relationship of trust with Diana; on the other, he has to face reality: the closeness of Enrico and Petra makes his certainties waver. As if that weren’t enough, the return of a person from her past close to her could affect her present.

After being cleared of charges for the murder of Vicky (Greta Malengo), Diana (Irene Paloma Jona) returns home, but it doesn’t take much for the relationship between her and Petra (Francesca Cavallin) to deteriorate again. To unleash the girl’s fury is the discovery of a letter that her mother wrote to her some time before. Also, she is in full existential crisis because of the ghosts she fights with.
The only person he can confide in is Emma (Valle)to whom he tells some important episodes from his past and which help to decipher his attitudes. Finally he talks to her about Regina, a friend to whom she was close and who is no longer there today. Queen is also the protagonist, together with chess, of the nightmares that she lives repeatedly and that follow each other from the first episode.
In turn, Emma is experiencing an equally difficult moment. She is certain that something is brewing between Enrico and Petra and she does everything to protect her partner. Just as she is certain that Novak is manipulating him. She decides to face it, but the result is anything but positive.
The twist: Emma leaves Enrico
«You are taking advantage of Enrico’s generosity to manipulate him», he says in the promo that anticipates the episode’s airing. Petra’s answer is decisive and glacial as always: “I fell in love”. A phrase that reveals neither embarrassment nor the desire to step aside.
Soon after, Emma returns her boyfriend’s engagement ring. He leaves the professor and steps aside. “There’s no need to screw it all up,” he whispers, but it’s too late now. At the end of the last episode, he read a message from Novak for his partner: “Whatever choice you make, I will continue to love you”. A low blow that shatters the relationship. Meanwhile Enrico researches Petra and wonders where her money comes from. Perhaps she is realizing that the woman is hiding more than one secret, but at what cost?

To add tension to the drama, the past comes knocking again. Emma discovers that her mother Paola (Paola Pitagora) has never cut ties with her brother Roberto (Luca Bastianello), convicted of trafficking in babies of which Emma was also a victim. A wound never healed, which is impossible to remedy with forgiveness.
Robert released from prison thanks to a permit award. He goes to Petra and asks her for money. Then he meets Emma, shocked by a new truth: her brother knows her daughter’s mother. What are they hiding? Who is Petra Novak really?
Francesca Cavallin and Anna Valle together again after The Company of the Swan
It is not the first time that Anna Valle and Francesca Cavallin share a set. Before Light of your eyes 2, they starred in the series The Company of the Swan, which aired for two seasons on Rai 1. Valle played Irene Valeri, the wife of the protagonist Luca Marioni (Alessio Boni). Cavallin, on the other hand, played the role of Miriam Ciampolillo, the mother of Robbo (Ario Nikolaus Sgroi), one of the boys in the company.
In that case, however, the contacts between the two characters had been almost minimal. Now they are protagonist and antagonist, they represent the classic contrast between good and evilalthough neither character lacks a fair range of nuances.
