KleinVerhaal is busy shooting film around the Hazegras district
The story is based on real events and the film crew settles on Hazegras. This results in a cinematic time document and, above all, the recording of the DNA of the Haze grass. The barracks history, the station, the prostitution district… Everything is covered to make a fascinating and interesting film, just like in their previous film productions in the New Town and the Lighthouse District. “We work with the people who live in the neighborhood and we also work with their stories. It is not that we come up with a scenario, the stories come from the people themselves. Those people are the stars of the film,” says Veerle Hasselman , production manager Small Story.
KleinVerhaal has a substantial investment budget, but in the past they have also scored with this kind of social-artistic work. Last time they filled no less than eight cinema halls for the premiere.
