At an informal meeting in Stockholm on Friday, European finance ministers reacted dividedly to the European Commission’s proposals to reform the supervision of national budgets. Reaching an agreement by the end of the year will be “very ambitious”, said Commission Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis.
