For weeks, shooting star Victor Osimhen has been linked by Serie A leaders SSC Napoli with a move to a top European club. FC Bayern is also in the draw. In the attacker’s camp, people reacted to the rumors with clear words.
An unnamed source close to the player denied speculation to “Mundo Deportivo” that Osimhen had already reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.
“It’s all fake news. It’s too early to talk about the transfer market,” the 24-year-old Nigerian’s confidant was quoted as saying.
Osimhen is currently concentrating exclusively on the final sprint in the title race with Naples. “There are a lot of people who want to bring in trouble. There’s nothing new,” the source said.
Alongside FC Bayern, PSG is one of the hottest contenders for the centre-forward. However, Napoli is demanding a fee of 150 million euros for its top performer – a sum that would be absolutely utopian for the German record champions and difficult even for the very rich French.
Victor Osimhen the “absolutely desirable candidate” at FC Bayern?
According to reports, those responsible at FC Bayern are still hoping for a deal.
Osimhen, who once played for VfL Wolfsburg and has had a German girlfriend since then, can well imagine a return to the Bundesliga, they say.
The courted professional moved from OSC Lille to Naples in 2020. Even then it cost 75 million euros. With 54 goals and 14 assists for the SSC so far, however, he continued to increase his market value.
According to “Bild” football boss Christian Falk, Osimhen is the “absolutely desirable candidate” for the position of nine at FC Bayern. In the “Bayern Insider” podcast, however, it was said that the German record champions needed a “financial tour de force” to sign him.
