Geneve-Servette HC beat EHC Biel in the fifth final match no less than 7–1 and got the gold for the Tuesday night break. Antti Törmänen piloted by Biel, he did not freeze under the pressure, but took a 4–2 victory with a strong performance.
Linus Omark tuned up the championship celebration by giving the visitors the lead in the opening set Teemu Hartikainen after a nice groundwork.
Toni Rajala equalized at the beginning of the second set. The elbow lift would go through the bar into the backpack.
Biel ran away by Luca Hischier and Gaetan Haas with drive-through hits for a 3–1 lead. Henrik Tömmernes breathed life into Geneva-Servette’s championship dream five minutes before the end Valtteri Filppula input.
Mike Kunzle packed the match empty after Rajala’s preliminary work.
Geneve-Servette will host the decider final on Thursday.
