Sports director Markus Krösche from Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt has called coach Oliver Glasner and the players to task after eight games without a win in the Bundesliga.

“Now it’s no longer about us discussing the issues, it’s about acting on the pitch. Everyone now has to take a step further than we have done in the past few weeks: the coaching team has to make good decisions that Players have to perform,” said Krösche in the “Sky” interview.

Eintracht is in the semi-finals of the DFB Cup, but the Hessians have fallen back to ninth place in the league and are in danger of missing out on participating in the European Cup again.

“In the last few weeks we have frivolously gambled away an excellent starting position,” complained Krösche, emphasizing that qualifying for international business is “our sporting goal above all”. Of course, monetary aspects and the development of players would also play a role, according to Krösche.
